Dr Amar Bostan (m) – GP Partner
Qualified in Leicester. (1995). MBChB, MRCP, MRCGP. Partner.He is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi He leads the practice with the teaching and development goals for undergraduates and all members of the Picton clinical team. |
Dr Rafaqut Rashid (m) – GP Partner
Qualified in Liverpool (1996) (M) MBChB. MA. He is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi. He leads the practice with Level 2 Diabetes care and provides the minor surgery service to our patient group. |
Dr Arif Hafeez (m)
Qualified in 1990. Dr Hafeez is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi and works 2 sessions per week at Picton Medical Centre |
Picton Medical Centre is a Teaching Practice.
We teach and support trainee Doctors. There may be a medical student in with the Clinician you have made an appointment to see. The Admin staff will make you aware of this and ask your permission before entering the consultation room. |
Advanced Practitioners
Advanced Practitioners provide a complimentary service to the GPs, enabling patients to be seen without the need to see a GP first. Advanced Practitioners will assess, diagnose, treat and refer appropriately. They also prescribe. Our ACPs speak English, Urdu, Punjabi and Bangla. |

Rifat can also give advice on chronic disease conditions. She works alongside Dr Rashid in our Level 2 Diabetes clinic. |
